Lars Koppers

Lars Koppers works as a data scientist in the SMC Lab and serves as the main contact for data journalism. He studied statistics with a focus on biometrics in Dortmund and then worked as a research associate at the “Dortmund Center for Data-Based Media Analysis,” where he studied large media corpora. This was followed by a three-year position as a visiting scholar from KIT at the SMC, where he focused on developing a recommender system for preprint servers and data-driven reports for the SMC.
